Over the weekend we will be posting links to helpful scrapbooking sites. Post some techniques for you to try and other bits and peices.
The first is a link to this great resource of free fonts. There are quite a few I like Celtic and Rock/Stone to name a few.

Old wallpaper samples
Have you ever though about going to a wallpaper store and ask for old wallpaper books or samples. The sample pages are a great size and can be used in so many ways. Some of the designs are great for backgrounds and some of the pictures can be cut out, mounted and put a card with a 3-D effect.

Try this photo editing program. It's free although you can upgrade for about $25.00 a year to access more features. I've had a play around and its rather fun.
You can add frames, crop, add frames, text, add different affects. With the upgraded version you can airbrush yourself, add lippy, remove wrinkles, remove discolouration and skin shine.
I've registered and had a play but haven't upgraded yet.

I thought I would also share another trick that I have used twice on layouts.
Most of you have probably heard of Snapfish (http://www2.snapfish.com.au/welcome).
I have used their collage function to print photos together of one theme. You upload your pics to snapfish and pick the ones you want to collage. Click a button and it will give you another collaged version, Not happy with the design, click again and it will rearrange your pics ie photos will be in a different order and size. Add text or frames...
You can see two layouts in the gallery. here (http://www.scrapofyourlife.com.au/gallery1/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=29&pos=1) and here (http://www.scrapofyourlife.com.au/gallery1/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=4)
Both are layouts of Braedon first year at school 'Kindy" and I wanted to try and incorporate quite a few photos on one layout.
I printed pics using the black frames and the white frames The black frame tends to make the photos look darker. So would recommend sticker to the light colour frames.
Give it a go....The prices are quite reasonable.
